On the heights of Sainte-Maxime, near the town centre, a lovely holiday residence with comfortable and large accommodations, nestled in the castle grounds overlooking the sea.
From the big mediterranean park, you will admire the beautiful view over the Saint-Tropez Bay and discover a wide selection of palm trees and fragrant oleanders. The holiday village offers 82 apartments for 2 to 6 persons, and there is also a hotel with 10 rooms and 1 suite in a splendid castle. The 19th century castle "Les Tourelles", formerly known in Sainte-Maxime as "Château Gaumont", has been entirely renovated in 2009. The rooms are comfortable and have all modern amenities but with a period decoration. You will find a café-bar with free wifi access. You will have the choice between half board (breakfast buffet and menu for dinner) or free access to the restaurant of the castle "Le Jardin provençal" with its shady terrace overlooking the park. On the games field, you will pay football, volley-ball, basket-ball, badminton, table tennis or petanque. For the youngs, there is a playground and a child pool. A new pool with a wellness centre (sauna and hammam) completes the leisure activities.

SAINTE-MAXIME
Un balcon sur la Méditerranée
SAINTE-MAXIME est avec Saint-Tropez l'ancienne sentinelle militaire du golfe. De la Tour Carrée, on a tiré autant de coups de canons du temps des Barbaresques que du haut du Portalet qui défendait en face l'enceinte tropézienne. Aujourd'hui, par sa situation géographique et le nombre de ses habitants, Sainte-Maxime est la plus importante agglomération du golfe. Elle figure comme un balcon entre les Issambres et la pointe de la Rabiou.
A ne pas manquer :
Domaine de la Pierre Plantée. Visite guidée gratuite de l'une des plus belles oliveraies de France et dégustation de produits.
Les marchés. Le marché couvert : rue Fernand Bessy dans la vieille ville. Le marché de produits régionaux le jeudi matin dans les rues piétonnes. Le marché forain place Jean Mermoz le vendredi matin. Le marché du Capet avenue Georges Pompidou le lundi matin.
La Tour Carrée. Le terroir de Sainte-Maxime appartenait aux moines de l'abbaye du Thoronet depuis le XIVe siècle. Ceux-ci décidèrent de faire construire une tour vers 1520 dans le but de repeupler le lieu. Elle abrite aujourd'hui le musée des traditions locales.
